DDF
(Distributed Data Facility) is DB2 for OS/390's vehicle to communicate with other DB2 Systems or network (DRDA-) clients.

To get this informations - and anything else you ever wanted to know about DB2 for OS/390 - is the DB2 Administration Guide.

You may download this (and other informations) in pdf-format from:
http://www-4.ibm.com/software/data/db2/os390/library.html#version5

: This question is probably easy to answer - but I need to know the answer.

: What functions does DDF bring to DB2 and how does it make DB2 a better product?

: What benefits does it provide to allow migration to newer versions of DB2 and does it make integration with products such as Oracle and IMS better?

: I'd appreciate any feedback possible.

: Thanks,

: Wes Keen
