Error description
Insert performance suffers on a member cluster pageset when anexhaustive search for space is driven prior to extending thepageset.
Local fix

Problem summary

USERS AFFECTED: Users of MEMBER CLUSTER tablespaces.        

PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Insert preformance suffers if the need to extend a tablespace is detected for a MEMBER CLUSTER tablespace.            

RECOMMENDATION:                                              
A exhaustive search from the beginning of the tablespace is performed prior to issuing an extend request. This exhaustive search could require reading of thousands of space map pages before space is found for the insert. A method is needed to specify that the exhaustive search is to be bypassed, and an Insert-at-End action is to be taken.

Problem conclusion
Code is changed to allow the Insert-at-End action te be triggered by specifying PCTFREE=0 and FREEPAGE=0 on the definition of a MEMEBER CLUSTER tablespace. Current tablespacescan achieve this action by ALTER TABLESPACE to change the twoparameters.
